We like gays, just not married gays.

(I still believe in equality – by “we” I mean the population of the US)

A report from this summer at gallup.com reveals that Americans, on the whole, think that homosexuality is acceptable, and that we should not discriminate against them in the workplace, but apparently marriage is right out.

Man, I love polls.

When Obama was elected, my Republican dad (who voted for him, yay!) said “If my father knew I voted for a black president, he would disown me.”

The one I’M waiting for is our first Atheist president! Need a few more generations of die off for that one I’m afraid, but at least we’re moving in the right direction! (Left)

Why didn’t you start this blogging thing a long time ago?

Nah, I’m looking for the first US president who is a female, but whose parents are both men !

(Refer back to your earlier post about Obama’s parents. And the whole issue of the legality of mixed race marriages back a number of decades ago….)

    Impress me, America !!!

And, graphs *rule* although of course I want to know where when how who etc ;)

I went to the Gallup link…and at the bottom it mentions land-line & cell phones. This is something I’ve been curious about, how they sample, via phone, given the skew in who has cell-phones-only (typically younger age bracket) and who has land-lines (typically older group). So how do they get a good sampling of cell phone numbers?

Oh man, I am a charts and graphs junkie.

An atheist president? Not sure if that will ever happen. Maybe a “don’t ask, don’t tell” kinda atheist.

But really, a black woman, raised by illegal Mexican and Iranian men would have a better chance than a out-of-the-closet atheist.

Hell, at least Osama Bin Laden believes in god.
